LE GROUPE JENACO team has been involved in the construction of two new residential and long-term care centres (CHSLD) in Repentigny and Terrebonne, since July 2013. These new establishments have a capacity of 94 and 100 beds respectively. The company Médifice, well known for its healthcare facility construction services, is the prime contractor for these two projects evaluated at $20 million each.

This is the first time the South Shore company has partnered with Médifice. “These ten-month plumbing and natural gas mandates provide us with an opportunity to expand our horizons by increasing our presence in the institutional sector, and in particular, in the healthcare sector. We are very proud to be a part of these major projects with high quality standards,” said Jean Turgeon, president of LE GROUPE JENACO.

The Repentigny project has three floors totaling 94,000 square feet. The project in Terrebonne, located in the eco-responsible Urbanova neighbourhood, comprises 100,000 square feet spread over four floors. In the latter case, special attention must be paid to the criteria of the eco-responsibility grid imposed by the municipality in order to promote sound environmental practices.

Among other things, the future CHSLD will use a rainwater treatment pond and a water retention basin. The two projects should be ready for their official opening in 2014.
