Le Groupe Jenaco has been awarded the contract for plumbing, geothermal energy, heating, and gas as part of the major expansion of the Cardinal-Léger school located in Ville Saint-Laurent. This major project by the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys will add 14 classrooms and a gymnasium to the school; and will increase its capacity to nearly 1000 students.

This is a first collaboration with Germano Construction, responsible for managing work on this project, which has to its credit many achievements in the institutional environment. “It’s always exciting to work with a new entrepreneur on a project of this type where there are significant challenges and the time factor is crucial,” said Le Groupe Jenaco’s founder and president, Jean Turgeon. “This gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our know-how and the benefits of our collaborative approach.”

This mandate is part of the extensive planning by the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys, which is experiencing a rapid growth in the number of students within its territory. Germano Construction has already been involved in the implementation of a project to expand the Enfant-Soleil school for this school board.

The project at the Cardinal-Léger school started last September, and should continue over a period of approximately 14 months. It involves a team of half a dozen employees from Le Groupe Jenaco, a contractor in building mechanics, specialized in piping.
