Le Groupe Jenaco will once again be involved in a major LEED certification project in downtown Montréal. The building mechanics firm that specializes in piping has obtained the plumbing, gas, and mixed water contract for phase 1 of the project currently known as: 455 René-Lévesque West.

Located near this address, this major project will be built on the vacant lot adjacent to the head office of SNC Lavalin and the Church of the Gesù. It includes a first residential tower with 36-storeys housing 396 luxury rental units. A second 45-storey tower with 424 units will be completed in another stage.

“We are very proud to bring our expertise in LEED certification and high-rise buildings to another major project in Montréal,” said Jean Turgeon, founder and president of Le Groupe Jenaco. Managed by general contractor Reliance Construction Group, this prestigious new project by GWL Realty Advisors will be delivered in the summer of 2022.

“The client will benefit from an experienced team since we have already been working with Reliance on large-scale commissions for several years,” said Mr. Turgeon, enthusiastic about the idea of contributing to the construction of this multi-residential tower, which boasts a remarkable location in Montréal.

This is the first collaboration between the building mechanics contractor and the developer, GWL Realty Advisors, whose owners are the policyholders of Great West Life Insurance Company, London Life, and Canada Life. This firm has become one of the leading development companies in Canada for commercial and residential building projects.

Design of this building complex was entrusted to IBI Group and Neuf architect(e)s. It respects the heritage character and face of the neighborhood.

A team of around 20 employees from Le Groupe Jenaco, specializing in piping, will be deployed from April 2020 until the project is completed.
