The building mechanics company Le Groupe Jenaco will be involved in another flagship project in Montréal, the Tour Fides, located in the Quartier des Spectacles. This MTL Développement project will preserve the heritage facade of the existing nine-storey building and the Art Deco insignia of Fides while offering an integrated real estate complex comprising 280 condominiums and more than 10,000 square feet of common areas.

Constructed in 1964, this is one of Montréal’s most emblematic buildings, with its siding from Italy and its modern facade accentuated by a play of symmetrical textures. The existing building once housed Les Éditions Fides, one of the first publishers in French-speaking America.

Le Groupe Jenaco has obtained the plumbing and natural gas contract for this real estate project comprising a 19-storey tower that will be integrated into the existing building, and an adjacent seven-storey building on Hôtel-de-Ville Avenue.

“We are very proud to bring our expertise to a project that highlights our history and offers a contemporary approach to meet community expectations,” stated Jean Turgeon, founder and president of the building mechanics company, specializing in piping. “This project will allow us to work once again with Magil Construction, the company responsible for overseeing the work.”

A team of fifteen pipefitters from Le Groupe Jenaco will be assigned to this project, which should be completed by the summer of 2024. The engineering firms Blondin Fortin Associates and BLTA Architects are involved in this project.
