Your role

  • Study plans, drawings, and specifications to determine system layout
  • Cut openings in walls, floors, and ceilings using machines or hand or power tools
  • Select the appropriate type and size of pipe
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand or power tools
  • Join pipe sections using welded, brazed, threaded, or cemented joints
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the procedures, practices, and requirements in force while respecting, among other things, the environment and health and safety
  • Perform various tasks related to the verification, repair, maintenance, and cleaning of systems such as:
    • Use the appropriate equipment to test for leaks
    • Clean and maintain pipes and connections and the drainage system
    • Replace worn parts and reset the system
  • Prepare cost estimates for clients, as needed
  • Perform all other related tasks

Some Requirements

  • Valid CCQ Competency Card
  • Good physical condition
  • Valid driver’s licence is an asset
