Le Groupe Jenaco has been shortlisted in the category Entrepreneurs et métiers de la construction [contractors and construction trades] in the 40th edition of the Prix Excellence de la Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de la Rive-Sud [excellence award from the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and Industry] (CCIRS).

The Saint-Hubert company, specializing in piping, plumbing, heating, and natural gas, is among the 37 finalists selected out of the 75 applications received by members of the jury of this major competition. According to Ruth Vachon, jury president and president and CEO of the Réseau des Femmes d’affaires du Québec [Québec businesswomen’s network], this reflects the dynamism of the South Shore business community.

“The nomination is a source of great pride for the entire team, from the worksite staff to the BIM modeling staff to the project management team,” said Jean-Sébastien Landry, Eng., a partner of Le Groupe Jenaco, during the unveiling of the finalists on March 27 in Longueuil.

Co-sponsor of Le Groupe Jenaco’s candidacy, Olivier Collard, CPA, partner at BJC, was equally happy with the nomination. “It’s always a pleasure to support Le Groupe Jenaco in this type of endeavour. Their success proves their team members’ determination and their commitment to the processes implemented within the company which go well beyond the financial aspect in which I am more involved.”

Le Groupe Jenaco has been nominated in a hotly contested category that includes two other finalists with long track records: the companies Bricon and JCB Construction Canada. “We are happy to find ourselves alongside such remarkable companies. It’s even more exciting for all of us,” admits Jean Turgeon, founder and president of the first-generation company which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024.

The winners in the 13 categories of the competition will be announced on May 30 during the Gala Excellence de la Rive-Sud. Winners of the special Diversity and Inclusion, Public Favourite, and Business of the Year awards will also be revealed. To mark its 40th edition, the CCIRS promises an unforgettable experience during this gala hosted by Pierre-Yves Lord at the Hôtel Mortagne, in Boucherville.
